The Ultimate Success Formula

It seems odd that since everyone has the same hardwiring, there would be such a separation of success levels. While one individual may be highly successful, another may be living on the streets, eating from dumpsters. Why is this? Are their brains different, or is it something else? These are questions many researchers have attempted to answer. After looking to those successful individuals to determine what it is about them that makes them have the right “stuff” to succeed, the ultimate success formula was born. Basically, it is not that these people have different hardwiring upstairs at all, but they do have different methods that lead them through a series of steps to success. The ultimate success formula, or steps to success, is a follows :

Specific Goals and Intentions

Having a clear goal is the very first step to success. When most people set their goals, they are vague and not even really realistic goals. That is the biggest difference between someone who is successful life. Success does not happen by chance; it does not fall out of the sky or happen to those with vague statements. Instead of claiming to want to make a billion dollars next year, you must hone in on a particular goal. It is impossible to work toward something if you have no game plan. And, I think everyone would agree that working toward a $20,000 goal requires a much different strategy from a $2 million goal.

If you look at successful individuals, they have a clear-cut game plan and a desired, specific goal in mind. Take, for example, Tiger Woods, who knew as a child that golf tournaments everywhere would be his. After wining many games and tournaments as a child, he worked very hard on his shortcomings by setting specific goals for each one of them. He did not only set the goal to be the best golfer in the world, but specific goal along the way.

Look at Bill Clinton. He did not just fall into the presidency. He spent years preparing, planning, and building contacts who led him to the nomination. Obviously, he aspired to be the president, but he also had a series of small goals, that were specific, along the way.

Developing a Strategy

After honing in on your goal, it is now time to develop a game plan or strategy. This is where most people fail in achieving their goals, because the way to success is not always a clear-cut path. Most want to make double or triple their income, but give up because they feel that much money is not achievable. Whit the current system, it is likely no achievable, and that is the reason one must change his or her strategy. During this step of the ultimate success formula, you must imagine yourself making that kind of money, enjoying that success. Use your creative abilities to see where you can market or whom you can target to take your business or career to the next level. Take, for example, the young lady who devised beauty care products in her kitchen, and is now a chain leader in the business. She set a series of small goals, built a very clear plan, and today, is highly successful. Now most would have said, and probably did, you cannot compete against the multi-million dollar advertisements and big beauty suppliers. She was bound and determined to follow her strategy and it has built her huge profit, every year.

After planning and devising this strategy, it is not to say it will not change along to course. You may find a particular marked is better or you may receive another windfall along the way. That is one of the important factors in building a successful strategy-flexibility. If you look at truly successful individuals, you will find people who are able to bend when necessary and have the ability to roll with the punches. So, be willing and able to change and tweak your business strategy. It can mean great success.

Unique Products and Services

One of the reasons there are so few truly successful people is they fail to understand how important uniqueness is. To build a successful business, you must have something unique that sets you apart from all the others. It may be a product, service, or personality you can use to your advantage. Look to successful individuals and you will find what is meant by uniqueness.

Not only did Tiger Woods offers a great game, he also worked very hard promoting himself. That is part of the game plan. You can be a great golfer, but if no one likes you, how far will you get? He spent countless hours practicing after all the other great golfers left the course and went home. Woods looked to other professional players and built his game is deferent from most other prominent golfers, and that is the reason for his true success.

Do not look to follow the majority and their game plan. Look to those truly exceptional individuals and model your behavior from theirs.

Take Action – and Don’t Give Up

It is not always the best or the smartest individual who succeeds or gets ahead in this world. Do you know why? It is because they hay a clear-cut goal and are consistent in their actions. Do you thing Tiger Woods practiced golf daily an then went for months without picking up a golf club ? No, it was the dedication and consistency that got him where he is today. Much of what we are talking about here is energy and motivation.

Now, the average person would say that someone with aspiring goals who abandoned those goals was lazy or unmotivated. Think about this scenario for a moment. This goal seeking individual may be tired, have other family issues, or feel the goal is getting them nowhere. This is common, and that is the reason people need to develop what is called personal mastery. Learning how to budget time, performance, and place goals in their respective places will help with burnout and frustration. It is easy to become frustrated and give up, but if you learn to plan time, budget your personal resources, and take a breather, it will help you stay focused and not burn out.

Learn From Mistakes

Failure and mistakes are not something any of us want to revisit. We want to move on and never think of them again, but that is the wrong approach to success. You must find out what failed or flopped to understand how to correct it. Ever heard of the old saying, “You can’t fix what you don’t know is broke”? That is exactly what we are talking about here. Evaluate mistakes and failures and fine a way to set them right. There is a reason that a product or service did not succeed, and to rectify the problem you must first explore what went wrong.

Do not take the failure personally. Understand that nothing is perfect and it is not a reflection on you when a service or product fails. Use is as a learning opportunity and chalk it up to experience. Here are common ways people deal with failure and fail to use the information in a productive manner.

  • Blame others or timing for the lack of success. Why place at all? Take the attitude that you are going to learn, and correct the experience.
  • Giving up and quitting is the biggest mistake that can ever be made. If you quit, not only did you fail the first time, but also a second time.
  • Make no changes in game is the strategy. When something failed or flopped miserably. Instead of ignoring it, change your plan.

Empowering Belief System

Yours belief system is by far the most important aspect of success. Your belief system is what drives you, keeps you motivated, and allows you the knowledge to overcome hurdles. For some, developing a positive belief system is difficult, because they must firs overcome negative or low self-esteem. This is not an overnight accomplishment, but can be changed over time. They key to improving your belief system is what you tell yourself every day. We all talk to ourselves, and if is negative comments, you can bet you will fail. On the other hand, if your words are kind and positive, you will set yourself up for success. Absolutely no negative self talk!

Ultimate Success Formula In Action

Following the ultimate success formula and having the ability to set goals and stick with them will ensure success. People who set their goals higher and reach for them every step or they way achieve their desires; those with vague goals tend to quit out of frustration and disappointment. So, in other words, set your goals, develop a system or game plan, and stick to it-even when the going gets tough. Have the flexibility to change, if necessary, to stay on track If something is not working, change it, but never give up. Success is not easy and it does not happen to people who are not working toward it.
